On the 9th of June 2009, the agency for health and wellness presented the European Health & Spa Award for the first time in the course of the glamorous gala event in Zell am See. The BABOR line “baborganic”, which distinguishes itself by especially pure active agents form the alpine region, convinced in the category “Best Facial Treatment”. “We are incredibly proud” Jens Urbanczyk, General Manager of BABOR Cosmetics Austria, says gladly. “It was a fantastic evening and the alpine coulisse in Zell am See is just amazing – simply perfect for baborganic.”

The gala event in the Ferry Porsche Congress Center was presented by ORF host Isabella Krassnitzer. The spa event with several presentations by top referees attracted many experts of the sector, having the possibility to exchange ideas and thoughts far into the night in a relaxed atmosphere.

The evaluation of the participating companies and products was realized by a jury of experts, leading personalities of the spa sector, as well as important personalities of economy and media. For evaluation six criteria were decisive: Design & technique, offer & service, benefit, profitability, sustainability as well as creativity. The European Health & Spa Award is supposed to show up possibilities and trends in the European spa economy.
